Robert Appleton and Sloane Taylor!
Today I have two of my favourite authors here at the site to tell you about a book they have written together. Individually they have strong voices that are instantly recognisable and both are good on plots. I think this is going to be a fabulous book.
Read it and see if you agree.

BLURB:
You’re invited to the galaxy’s most prestigious beauty pageant. Clothing optional. Romance and danger…fully provided…
Cocky young detectives Gerry Rappeneau and Sebastian Thorpe-Campbell arrive at the premier lunar resort expecting a week of eye candy and long massages. With a half-billion-credit purse up for grabs, this year’s pageant is the focus of a hundred worlds. And beauty isn’t the only thing in the eye of the beholder.
One contestant, Evelyn Lyons, is attacked and her assailant killed. Surely a simple case of a stalker gone mad, as nothing bad ever happens at the Selene contest. So the brochure says.
The closer Gerry gets to Evelyn, the more he is convinced she’s hiding something. His meticulous character sparks with her wild, sassy nature, and they embark on a torrid affair. Their forbidden romance isn’t the only thing set to ignite in Pont de Reves.
Sebastian’s infatuation with demure Claire Villiers, another contestant, threatens to put all four of them in harm’s way.
A deadly trail of corporate conspiracy, monstrous assassins and hot bikini wax is more than anyone bargained for in this incendiary erotic mystery. Get ready for some serious heat on the dark side of the moon.
EXCERPT:
Gerry raised his hand, then dropped it back to his side. Nervous as a teenager on his first date, he scrubbed his sweaty palms down his pant legs. A few deep breaths proved another fruitless attempt to calm himself. He stood straighter, ignoring the giggles from farther up the corridor, and cleared his throat. A few ahems later, he managed to find the balls to knock on Evelyn’s door.
His pulse quickened at the click of a switch inside the room. A trace of exotic perfume. The jingle of a purse chain. All familiar, but never old: the details preceding a first date.
A double beep signaled the door unlocking. Evelyn flung it open.
“Hey, thanks for being on time.”
Her greeting wasn’t the most romantic he’d experienced, but, Christ alive, her dress more than made up for it. A deep purple Aeon evening number, off-shoulder, the kind all the hottest policewomen wore to the annual ICLA social on Io.
He’d…um…encountered it before on a few occasions, but never on such mouth-watering curves. When she turned to lock the door, her pert ass and shapely hips, accentuated by a waist-hugging belt, roused his dick to Mach 9.
She wheeled around and flashed him a hungry glance. Her red lipstick, dark eyeliner, and blonde hair tied back, exposing her swan-like neck, conspired to steal his breath.
“You look lovely,” he whispered, ashamed it was the best he could manage without panting like a Labrador in heat.
“Thank you. Love that shirt.” She spun too quickly and almost clashed heads with him, before dropping her keycard into her purse and wrapping the chain around her wrist. She offered him her free arm and added, “Shall we?”
The touch of her soft white skin on his bare arm ghosted him for a moment as they walked to the elevator. He noticed her lip quiver—the girl inside the goddess—and it settled him into his old confident self. Charming, some might say. At the very least, a smoother groove from which to guide the evening.
“Where are we going?” she asked. “Not too far, I hope. We’re supposed to adhere to a strict curfew.”
“Farther than you’ve ever dreamed.”
“Goody. Rules are for wimps anyway. And you are my official bodyguard.” She squeezed his arm to her supple body, her soft breast pressing into him. “Is it expensive? Not that you should spend the Earth on me or anything, but—”
“It’s obscenely expensive. You’ve no idea.”
“Really? And a secret, I take it.”
“And a secret.”
At the elevator, he held the door open and gestured for her to go first. He then followed and pressed the button for the tenth floor. They were alone in the small space, which seemed to shrink as they climbed higher. He watched her reflection in the mirrored wall while inhaling the full body of her delicate honey scent. Delicious. He swallowed hard, mustering all his strength not to wrap her in his arms and kiss her senseless.
The doors pinged open and he led her across a beige carpet and into an elegant tunnel. Pastel murals of strange, exotic landscapes, encompassing all colors, morphed and blended into one another in a rolling three-sixty display that dizzied as much as it dazzled. Evelyn appeared fascinated as she brushed her hand in front of the imagery, wanting to touch those wild alien locales.
Gerry grinned to himself. So far, so good. If she liked this swirling intro, she’d flip for the full service.

Ixnay the Glittery Vamps! Another letter of protest from beloved daughter of The Vampire Family, Victoria.
Every Autumn we go through this. This year my August hibernation was even ruined by the early commercialization of Halloween. Pushing out your Fourth of July clearance, really? Come on now. Now that our chronicler Professor James is hell bent on making his millions with Fate and Fangs, a collection of our journals and diaries (he already had the plastic surgery and gastric bypass so he has to pay for all that somehow!) the grating of vampire pop has returned. I can't go out to eat in the alley after having some merlot in a fine restaurant without pedestrians gawking and pointing, "Oooo like Twlight!". These little girls that they keep recasting are imitating me thankyouverymuch! In fact, here's the Professor's own words introducing Fate and Fangs as proof:
Lore:
Forward by Professor A. James
In 1975 I acquired a collection of antique, but damaged manuscripts after a mysterious fire beguiled the dim British authorities for four years. Somewhere along the frontier between England and Wales, in a crumbled vault beneath a burned mansion; dozens of leather bound journals, diaries, and books were rescued. Their contents were fantastical: histories, ages of vampiric accounts, coven wars, and abstract chronicles. The police, of course, uneducated in such matters of the occult or the unexplained, found the material rubbish against their modern case in need of evidence and forensics.
Fortunately, in my subsequent studies and adventures, I have found that truth is indeed stranger than fiction. You must forgive me the cliché, but my analysis and preservation of these personal antiquities has brought me to new heights of bizarrity, both on the page and in the flesh. I thought I was a wise, aware professor knowing beyond the day-to-day world before I came to read of this twisted Vampire Family. My pride was in err.
After several lengthy years of study and a very slow restoration process on the oldest documents, I succumbed to an offer of assistance from a student named Theodore Plunkett. A scholar of ancient languages, Theodore’s detailed list of degrees and credentials were too numerous for his youthful appearance. His intelligence was vast; yet he was a personal master at comprehending and restoring the fantastic tales of Antonio Welshire and his mad family’s descent into the dark world of vampirism. From patriarch Antonio’s brutal human days to the coven’s near destruction by the rival Lilithan vampires and the ambiguous Mestiphles’ meddling appearances and disappearances; this Vampire Family’s history is very well documented through some centuries and bare and bleak in others. Some journals are utterly disturbing in their tales of blood and mayhem while other diaries are strangely heartfelt, bittersweet, and uncomfortably endearing.
The fire that brought these texts into my possession was education blessing enough-the lifetime epitome of Tut and Troy to most scholars. Some library men would be content to sit behind their musky parchments and read the decades away. I, however, have had the unique privilege of authenticating these documents as truth. Of course, that wasn’t until many years later; when Theodore arrived at my office door looking as young as the day we first met. On the plane to Philadelphia, I never suspected I would arrive at the doorstep of sisters Samantha and Victoria Welshire. I had read over five hundred years of their tall tales; yet here the startling beauties were, living and breathing before me fangs and all. Only then did I begin to realize the full extent of this familial coven.
The academic community may disagree with my claims; but this dark, sensational and unbelievable underground lifestyle has afforded me considerable gains. Today I live a quiet life among the Welshires, and their vast knowledge of history and the world has blessed me intellectually as well as financially. In this simple, ignorant time obsessed with youthfulness and beauty, I’ve seen immortal creatures age, know love, feel pain-even die and regain their humanity. I myself have been able to change; embracing surgeries and procedures I would not have considered before coming to know the Welshires. With no evil or nefarious means, this vampire knowledge and power has made me a new man inside out. It’s something I could never have fathomed before these burned books first came my way.....

So there! If you want pop horror and scary comedy, join the Horrofest happening on The Vampire Family Facebook page. Our webmistress Kristin keeps up with the times. I of course, do not- so stop texting me. Do, however, sext me, as I like the vamp BDSM pictures. Remember there's no blood necessary for the participation in any virtual Vampire Family events. Yet.

Kari Thomas
Today we have Kari Thomas with us. She has popped in to tell us about herself, her writing and her achievements. The books look good, Kari. We wish you well with them and much future sucess.
Writing keeps me sane! Honest! When people ask me why I spend so much time lost in my writing world I tell them that. Of course, they always want a better explanation (as they carefully back away from me! LOL!). The truth is, my imagination has no limits. I'm constantly thinking of new story ideas, etc. I started creating stories when I was old enough to write. My mom encouraged me --probably to keep me from driving her crazy too! By the time I was 13 I had finished a 300 page YA Mystery and sent it out into the publishing world. Of course, it was rejected. And my "future fame" as an author was nearly crushed. Still, after the initial shock of repeating the mantra: "WHAT! They didnt want my Best Seller book? What's wrong with them?", I finally went back to writing and creating more stories. Life intruded, as life does, and I found myself writing little spurts here and there. But it wasn't until years later that I finally finished another full manuscript (this time a Romance) and decided to submit it....while I held my breath and prayed a lot!
YAY! It was accepted. I was on cloud nine. And even though it's a much used cliche, "The rest is History" really does say it all for me. Now, eight published Books, and two Shorts later, I'm still writing and still managing to stay sane. If you knew me, you'd know that's a big accomplishment! LOL!
Along the way I've also managed to become a Freelance Editor for an Arizona Publisher, and a Book Reviewer for the major Romance Publishing Houses. I do the Reviews on my website, www.authorkari.com , under "Kari's Korner Reviews" page.
As for personal, I spend my time being my elderly dad's 24/7 Caregiver. I'm a professed "Book-a-Holic" with over 3,000 books in my personal Library (and counting!). I love to paint and I love working on my doll house miniatures ---both hobbies when ever I get the chance.
My latest Release is SPELL-KISSED, with www.blacklyonpublishing.com and like most of my books it's a Paranormal Romance. My last Release, UNDER A SHIFTER'S MOON won three Awards right after it was published.
Please do visit my site, www.authorkari.com and take a look at my List. I hope you find something that will catch your attention. I would love to hear any opinions: authorkari@yahoo.com
HAPPY READING HUGS, Kari
Thanks for sharing your time with us today Kari. Your books sound fascinating and your experiences of rejection and then acceptance may encourage young authors to do the same.

Cornelia Amirir
Hi Cornelia
Welcome to the blog. Please tell us about yourself and your books.
I’m romance author, Cornelia Amiri, and I wanted to tell you a little bit about my Celtic/Romance books. I love history, my favorite time periods and people are the Dark Age and Ancient Celts. It’s a time period few people have accurate knowledge of, so I have to make a world previously unknown to the reader, real to them, just like fantasy and sci-fi authors do. I use fantasy to bring the readers into the belief system of the characters. I want to make the druid teachings of the times come alive to the readers. So in my books, people can shapeshift, there are selkies, dead ancestors cross over to speak with you and help you out, gods fall in love with humans, and, from time to time, dragons visit from their alternate dimension. Drawing on my love of history and fifteen years of research on the ancient Celts, I write these tales of long swords, hot heroes, and warrior women. My nine Celtic/Paranormal/Romance books are:
Druid Bride --- The fate of Caledonia rests in the hands of the Warrior and the Druidess. Will they put their differences aside to fulfill their destiny?
Druid Quest - Relive the magic, myth, and adventure of ancient Britannia as two druids fight for their lives, their faith, and their love
Queen of Kings - As wild, strong, and beautiful as the land she rules, all men lust for her, warriors and kings bow to her might and magic, but one champion comes forth with a white bull and true love.
A Fine Cauldron of Fish - It's summer on the Isle of Man and Andrew’s looking for hot girls and good times when he meets Margaid. She lives in a cave under the sea, is invisible, and thinks that only Andrew's blood can save her from turning into a kelpie! But hey, whoever said love was perfect!?
The Fox Prince – Tryffin a Celtic prince searches for and finds his true love, Aelfrida, a Saxon slave. But Aelfrida is not sure about the match and must decide between vengeance or love.
One Heart One Way - An ancient god, a magic sword, and a hot prince, named Blaise.
Danger Is Sweet - From ancient druid lore, springs the tale of a mysterious, dark warrior, a fiery Pict Princess, and the shadowy secret standing between them.
The Vixen Princess - A ghost is called forth from the grave to bring a sword-wielding widow together with a dark, muscular warrior, and open their locked hearts with the magic of love.
Timeless Voyage - Love isn’t bound by the limits of time
My tenth book will be released 12/07/10, The Wolf and the Druidess - A god leaves the Otherworld and even risks his life … for love.
Druid Bride's publisher is Eternal Press - also for The Wolf and the Druidess, and Queen of Kings and A Fine Caludron of Fish.
Druid Quest, Fox Prince, Vixen Princess, One Heart One Way, and Danger Is Sweet, are published by Awe Struck Ebooks.
Timeless Voyage is published by All Romance E-books for the American Heart Association and all proceeds for that book go to the American Heart Association.
For more information please visit my web site at http://CelticRomanceQueen.com
It was nice having you here Conelia. Your books sound great and I wish you lots of luck with them. It is great that you have given your royalties on one of your books to the American Heart Association. Well done you!

Jessica Chambers
Hi Jessica. Thanks for stopping by today. Please tell us a little bit about yourself and your books.
Almost at the back door, Karenza considered him. “Is that an offer? Now, there’s an interesting idea.”
Marcus relaxed. There was no mistaking the challenge beneath the mockery, nor the invitation in her eyes. He moved towards her until they stood a foot apart. With measured slowness, he reached out to place his hands on her shoulders, experiencing a surge of exultation when she did not flinch.
“You, Miss Jackson,” he said, “are an extremely attractive woman, you know that?”
“I may have been told so once or twice,” Karenza replied, her gaze appraising him. “And you, Mr. Armitage, as you are well aware, are an extremely attractive man.”
They remained motionless, eyes fastened on one another’s, desire pulsating between them. Marcus ached to kiss her, but intuition held him back. If he was to bring the unmanageable Karenza under his control, he would have to leave her hanging.
Before he could master himself and step away, however, Karenza stood on tiptoe and brushed his lips with her own. Momentary indignation shot through Marcus at being deprived of the initiative, but it fled as his body responded with a ferocity that took him by surprise. He made to pull Karenza closer, but she drew back with a throaty laugh, teasing him.
“Christ,” Marcus croaked, “what are you trying to do to me, you witch?”
Karenza flashed him a provocative smile before kissing him again.

Nerine Petros
Today we have new a Nerine Petros visiting us. Nerine's first book is available from 12th October.
Tell us a bit about yourself please Nerine.
Nerine started talking at the age of four, and over 20 years later, hasn’t stopped since. Parents desperation led to reading as a means of finding an off button, and it must have worked, because speed forward 15 years, and eNovels are now the guilty pleasure of choice. Owning way too many, it really was more than past time for Nerine to listen to all the little voices upstairs and write a few of those stories. You can follow the journey at http://nerinepetros.blogspot.com.
All stories are read alone, but become enhanced as part of the series.
Shifting Perspectives Book One: Oliver and Angus
Blurb:
Oliver lives in Australia. Specifically, in a rural town owned by a shifter wolf pack. Life is good, but lonely, with companionship at least a four day drive away.
Unexpectedly, five new faces move to town, shaking the very foundations Oliver has lived with his entire life. Now, Oliver will need to decide if he is ready to let go of loneliness forever, or if all those teeth will be just a little too much to handle.
Excerpt:
"Thanks for bringing that out for us," Fynn said.
"That's all right. It was nice to have a walk around the property and see how it's all come together for you," Oliver responded from inside the back of the van as he helped carry the meat inside.
"I'm sorry I couldn't get out there this week. Fergus is waiting for a part for the ute, and Kyran and Aden are using the other two vehicles."
"It's no worries," Oliver assured him, meaning it.
They walked into the kitchen together, and Oliver again admired it as he had done earlier on his tour. It was beautiful; the brothers had done a good job. Oliver could hear a rumble in the study as he walked past this time, and wondered who was home.
In the kitchen, Oliver placed the last of the order on the bench for Fynn and moved to the door to head back out, starting to make his goodbyes.
"Not leaving us so soon, are you?" a deep voice asked.
Oliver turned and immediately lost himself in the most intense pair of eyes he had ever seen, entranced by the amber color.
"Uh... umn... nahar..." was all Oliver could stammer. This was obviously the source of the rumble from the study, and of course, Oliver, standing in front of the one man he would have liked to actually impress, managed to become tongue-tied.
"'Course he's not, you just didn't give me time to tell him he was here for dinner whether he liked it or not," Oliver heard Fynn respond as if from far away. He had yet to disconnect his gaze from Angus.
"Good," Fynn's Alpha answered. "I am Angus, and while Fynn is cooking and we are waiting for the others, I will show you around."
He should have known, Oliver thought later, that when he hadn't been able to tell Angus he had had already seen the property, Oliver was in big, big trouble.
As they were walking the property, Oliver could hear Angus talking about current plans, future improvements, and other things of the like, but all Oliver could concentrate on was the broad, solid shoulders and firm, molded buttocks of the handsome-as-sin man walking in front of him.
To distract himself, Oliver thought he had better pretend he had been paying attention, and sought a question that wouldn't show just how much he had missed.
"Do you miss it? Fraser Island, I mean. Do you regret having to move here?" Oliver blurted out before he could censor his mouth. Angus turned to face him as the Alpha thought over a response.
"This is our barrabooka now. K'gara used to be our hunting grounds, but the native Dingos there are endangered now. The government is working to help, and that includes tagging. Could you imagine the life of a tagged shifter? No, a move out here was necessary, and we are resilient, we will adapt. We will exchange golden sands for bronze earth."
Before Oliver could blink, Angus moved so fast that Oliver was pushed face first against a gum tree, Angus speaking softly into his ear. "Besides, what type of man would I be if I could not be happy that such a move has brought you into my life? My name means 'One Choice,' my little boorri, and as my mate, you are that choice."

Jocelyn Devon
Today we welcome Jocelyn Devon to the blog.
This is what Jocelyn has to say of herself
A small town country girl who married the love of her life and has remained close to her roots. They have three sons and two dogs. Jocelyn Devon has been writing since 2007 with such titles released as Haunted Embrace and Dark Legacy. Jocelyn now writes for Red Rose Publishing where her latest and only released story can be found titled Wild Souls.
Jocelyn Devon
Wild Souls
Red Rose Publishing
Blurb: Can Eliza's and Hank's marriage be saved or is it already too late after his affair with town tart Sylvia? Her home wrecking ways threaten to end all three of their lives. HIV, looms over them like a dark shroud. Can any be saved?
Sterling an ancient vampire mourns the loss of his beloved Alana. He never thought he'd find another woman to take her place. Yet, he finds hope in Eliza. Will Eliza accept his dark gift before it's too late? Can she find it within herself to love a creature of the night? Is it possible his love can cure her?
Excerpt: This is the only way. Remorse filled him at the thought of taking her life to give her a new one, but if he didn't he would lose her forever. He had searched for a millennium for just the right woman and now that he found her there was no way in hell he'd let her go so quickly. The council be damned, he had only turned two people since he had become a vampire. For centuries he had held the council in high esteem and abided by their laws faithfully, but when they allowed the murder of his wife to go without punishment he had turned his back on them and all that they stood for. He answered unto no one but himself.
Gently, he sat on the side of the bed. She stirred slightly when his fingers caressed her cheek. He couldn’t help himself he needed to touch her. She felt so warm, so vibrant, so full of life it astounded him and yet death clung to her.
Please, if there is truly a God, let her accept me as I am.
“Hmm.” Her soft sigh embraced him.
He resisted the urge to bury his face in the swells of her breast as her gown slid from one shoulder revealing her flawless skin. Desire raged through his body demanding appeasement. A low guttural moan escaped him as he fought the beast within him for control once more. No, Eliza deserved more than just a quick tumble in the sack. She was like a fine wine that needed to be savored.
There is so much I want to give you Eliza. So many fantastical things we can do together, and the places we can visit.
His heart raced at the thought of this beautiful woman spending the rest of eternity with him if the fates allowed it. At long last she would be his. There was nobody to keep them apart. He had truly thought that after Alana he would never be able to love again, but Eliza had changed all of that. She had made him see there was still a reason for living.
“Eliza, my love, I have come for you. I need you and I want you by my side forever. Please say you’ll be mine.” Tenderly, he caressed her cheek marveling in the sheer perfection of her. Just that one little touch was enough to send his predator hormones into overdrive. He shifted his weight upon the bed trying to ease the increasing bulge in his jeans. But no matter how hard he tried he knew the only thing that would ease the ache would be him buried inside her warm folds as she screamed his name out into the night. He shuddered as images of them lying together naked and totally engulfed in each other played in his head.
I promise my love to make every moment of your new life a happy one.
Still, she slept. He gathered her to him as he sat on the edge of her bed. The springs creaked under the protest of his weight. He wrapped his arms protectively around her. The pulse at the base of her throat beckoned him as the hunger within rose like a ravenous carnivore. It wasn’t the need to feed that drove him on, it was the need to possess, the need to at long last have the woman he loved. He nuzzled her neck as one hand cupped the full mound of her breast still covered by her night gown. His thumb rubbing the small nub of her nipple until it stood at full attention.
“Hmm… Eliza, how I need you,” he whispered, against her soft skin imprinting the memory of her, this night upon his soul. This would be a night that neither of them would ever forget.
Book Reviews
"...a roller coaster of emotions as it brings to life the trials and tribulations of an adulterous spouse, while descriptively detailing the heartache of a broken marriage incapable of being repaired." ~ Pamela Jenewein, Romance at Heart Magazine

Sloane Taylor
Today we have Sloane Taylor with us. She writes wonderful warm witty and very sexy books. She is also a lovely lady who has many fans and friends who love to read her books. Below are some details of her books. For more information visit Sloane's website. There is always something interesting to find there.
Hi Sloane!
Hi Linda,
Thank you for having me out today. Love your new site and wish you great success with it.
For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a sensual woman who believes humor and sex are healthy aspects of our everyday lives which carry over into my books.
My stories are set in Europe where the men are all male and the North American women they encounter are both feminine and strong. As a true romantic, my women bring more than lust to their men’s lives.
I was born and raised in Chicago. Studly, my non-husband and mate for life, and I split our time between a home in Illinois and a weekend cottage on the back roads of Indiana…or you can catch up with me as I travel though Europe, researching new material.
Currently, I write for two fantastic publishers, Amber Quill Press - Amber Heat and Aspen Mountain Press. Why do I praise and respect them so much? They're honest, fair, open minded and produce high quality work. Be sure to check them out next time you're craving an excellent read.
Amber Quill Press is home to my Melt the Ice series and single titles. It’s also where I’ve branched out to sci-fi with the talented Robert Appleton.
Aspen Mountain Press publishes my Magnificent Men of Munich series, single titles, and the Naughty Ladies of Nice series. Yes, the girls are back and badder than ever.:) It was great fun expanding them.
If you’re into easy cooking, please visit me at wwww.sloanetaylor.com and click on Fun Stuff. I’m also at www.myspace.com/sloanetaylor and of course http://www.facebook.com/home.php.
Thank you again, Linda, for this wonderful opportunity to meet new people.:)

Battered hockey player Colt Coltrane arrives in Sweden with one thing on his mind--victory. A bad spill later, however, and he's at the tender mercies of the sexiest masseuse he's ever seen. From that point, all his good intentions go straight to hell when he strips for the Swedish iceberg.
Disa Ellstrom has had it with sports figures who always expect more from her than a massage. She can't believe her friend Carl sent the American goalie to her. Unable to ignore the man's pain, however, Disa takes on Colt and soon finds her heart melting faster than a spring thaw.
Combine a hot-blooded American and a Swedish spitfire and they're sure to set Stockholm ablaze...
SULTRY IN SWEDEN
EXCERPT:
Colt stampeded down the stairs, cursing with each jolt to his spine. He shoved open the door and skidded across the slick marble floor, then sidestepped the glass table and scanned the crowd beyond the mammoth bouquet plunked in the center. He spotted Disa across the lobby, headed for the sidewalk.
“Disa!” he hollered not caring about the people who turned and frowned, especially a silver-haired woman who sniffed and curled her lip. “Hey, Disa, wait.”
Some big guy, all handsy feely, wedged himself next to her and pushed them through the revolving door.
Oh, shit.
He stopped short, royally screwed. She had to be horrible mad at him to pick up nother guy in a matter of minutes. Insane thoughts and images raced through his brain, colliding with logic. He knew in his heart she wasn’t the type to troll or react out of spite. Didn’t matter, he was determined to correct this fucked up night of lost opportunity.
Colt slammed his palm against the glass side door and shoved his way into a hellacious rainstorm. Rain splattered across his face, but he managed to see Disa and Romeo duck into a dark entryway a few stores down the street. He charged after them and sloshed to a stop.
“What gives? I thought we were on for tonight. Why are you with him?” Colt jerked a thumb toward the face hidden in shadows. “Disa, if it’s about what happened upstairs, I’m really sorry. I had no clue Jake had it planned. It’s not my scene. I swear.”
He reached for her.
Stefan stepped forward, catching Disa up in his arms, and Colt’s heart turned to stone.
What the shit is she doing with that prick?
“Get away from my wife.”
“You’re married?” His clenched gut rolled over itself.

Interpol agent Claudette D’Laquois is on the run. Dull Uncle Paul and his rundown chateau in Nice, France are her only safe haven…but she never planned on the delectable estate manager who is even more dangerous than the Russian mob boss who wants her dead.
Three weeks of overseeing operations at his friend’s orchard seems like the ideal vacation to CPA Don Hobbs. And so it was—until a French sex goddess pulls him into a world of drugs, intrigue, and erotic fantasy.
FRENCH TWIST
EXCERPT:
The throbbing burst into Claudette’s head again. She rubbed her temples. “S’il vous plait, do not make this more difficult.”
“Hey, I get it. You’re this tough woman who can handle herself in any kind of danger. But, you need to look at it from my point of view.” Don stepped behind her and massaged her shoulders, edging up to her neck.
Instant relief.
She sighed with each knead that worked free the stress knots.
“Let’s just say this Cesar doesn’t come alone. You ever figure he’s not a good guy?” Sarcasm streamed with each word.
“I know him.” She shrugged off his hands and turned, her fists balled tight. “You do not.”
“I’m not stupid and I do know a bunch of bullshit when I hear it.” His words bounced off the walls. “You think this guy is your long-lost savior. Not hardly likely, chickee, if he bailed on a high profile government job and left you to the wolves.” He squinted at her, a vein pulsed along his forehead. “Was your commander right? Did you and this jerk have a couple of rolls in the sack and now you think he’s gonna be the righteous man of the hour? Is that all it takes with you?”
“You dare to speak to me this way?” Red flashed before her eyes. “One afternoon of sex and you think you own me? Know what my life is like? How it should be orchestrated? You assume the right to be my master?” Meeting him decibel for decibel, she yelled, “You are an idiot!”
She swung out her hand, ready to slap his face. Hard.
With an expression cold and fierce, he leaned into her.
“Don’t do it. Don’t do one damn thing you don’t want done back to you.” He stood his ground, fists planted on his hips. “I’m a nice guy. A gentleman until someone, and I don’t care if she is a broad, muscles me. You got that? Loud and clear? Has it sunk you’re your brain? I will not—”

Carol Preflatish
Today I welcome Carol Preflatish to the blog. Please tell us a little about yourself and your books Carol.
Linda, thank you so much for hosting me and letting me talk about my book and myself.
I'm Carol Preflatish and I'm live in a log home in rural Indiana with my husband, a dog, and a cat. My day job is working in social services, but at night, I hide at my little corner desk and delve into the world of espionage. My current book is called "Love, Lies & Deceit" from Red Rose Publishing. There's a buy link on my web site or you can buy it on amazon.com as a Kindle download.
"Love, Lies & Deceit" is about CIA officer, Jason Reid who has been arrested for treason. He, along with his rookie partner, Julie McBride travel the world to seek out the person who set Jason up.
I love writing about spies and my husband was invaluable with his help on the technical part of the book. He was a counter-intelligence agent in the army and an electronics wiz. I wanted to write a book as factual as possible, while still maintaining the fiction part of the story. With his help, I was able to do that.
I recently finished a new book that I am currently editing before sending it out to a publisher. In this one, I leave the spies behind and concentrate on a big city magazine writer coming to small town Indiana to research a 30-year old mystery. She finds the local sheriff to be a big help, in more ways than one. The part of the plot about the 30-year old mystery is loosely based on a real mystery in a town near me that was never solved.
I also have a couple other projects that I am in the very early stages of working on and hope to be putting more time into them soon. To learn more about me, you can visit my web page at http://CarolPre.webs.com or at my blog, http://CarolPre.blogspot.com and you can also follow me on Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/cpreflatish
Linda, thank you again for having me here today. I hope to return again when my next book comes out.
Carol
It was lovely to have you here Carol. I wish you lots of luck with your books and for the future. Linda

Mary Montague Sikes
Today I welcome Mary Montague Sikes to the blog
Hi Mary, tell us abotu yourself and your books.
Mary Montague Sikes is a native Virginian who grew up in the historic city of Fredericksburg in the shadow of Civil War battlefields near the boyhood home of George Washington. Motivated by her surroundings, she started writing and painting at an early age. In high school she developed a fascination for the works of Edgar Allen Poe and was inspired to write short stories. Always intrigued by far-away places, as an adult she began traveling and writing about her journeys to exotic locations. Her first novel, Hearts Across Forever, is set in Jamaica and relates to her interest in the legend of the white witch of Rose Hall.
Using both her writing and her artistic skills, Monti wrote and illustrated a coffee table book, Hotels to Remember. Her publisher created the Passenger to Paradise series for her exotic destination books. Night Watch, set in Trinidad, is the latest book in that series. She also has a gothic e-book, Dangerous Hearts, by Red Rose Publishing. All of her novels are available as Kindle Books from Amazon.
A professional artist with a MFA in painting, Monti teaches art to almost 400 elementary school children. Besides her interest in painting, she plays tennis, follows Major League Baseball, does step aerobics, loves to travel, and enjoys her family of three adult daughters. Monti and her husband now reside in a little Virginia town situated on three rivers accessed by two beautiful new bridges.

What has Lily "walked" into?
From the moment Lily’s plane lands in tropical Trinidad, things go awry. She planned for rest, relaxation and photography, but instead faces mistaken identity, a gun running operation and danger. Her transportation to her lodging does a no show, and she is mistaken for someone named Katherine by Kyle Warren.
Over the next few days, Lily’s resemblance to another puts her in danger and Kyle’s attempts to protect her further complicate the uncanny memories and feelings that she may indeed know him from the past.
With her life in peril, Lily discovers a deep kinship with her doppelganger and a growing attachment to Kyle.
EXCERPT (rated PG):
Chapter One
Port of Spain, Trinidad
November 5, 1986
"Katherine?"
When Lily Henri turned toward the voice, she saw a tall blond man dash out of
the crowd toward her. His hurried footsteps clicked on the gray floor tiles and
resounded sharply above the clamor of the airport terminal.
Her name was not Katherine. She looked around for someone else standing
near her but saw no one. Confused, Lily shrank back from the approaching stranger, allowing her shoulder bag to fall on the luggage stacked next to her.
His tawny gold eyes narrowing, the man paused a few feet away and stared at
her. Lily watched his face pale and his eyes fade to a tarnished color.
The man looked as if he were seeing a ghost and she was it. An involuntary shiver slithered down her spine.
"Katherine?"
"No. My name’s not Katherine."
The stranger’s serious eyes and tense voice made her uneasy. She wanted to edge away, but she could not move far without abandoning her luggage.
As if hypnotized, the man continued to stare.
"I’m sorry, but you’ve mistaken me for someone else," Lily said in a level voice.
She raked back unruly strands of pale blonde hair that clung to her cheeks.
The man frowned, but he did not turn away. Instead, he continued to study her
with piercing eyes that left her bewildered and confused. He looked confused as
well.
"No. No. I see that you’re not Katherine," he said after what seemed a very long
time. He shook his head.
Lily detected an English accent to his subdued voice. And it held an edge of
sadness that tempted Lily to reach out and touch him. Of course, she did not,
but it took considerable discipline to keep the impulse in check.
With sudden resolve, the man straightened his broad shoulders, and a pleasant
smile replaced the confusion on his handsome face. "My apologies. I didn’t intend to stare. It’s just… It’s that you look so very much like her…
"Except…"
"Except what?"
The handsome stranger had captured her curiosity. Lily wanted to know more.
Before the man could reply, a blue-eyed beauty, long, flaming red hair cascading
over her shoulders, stepped from the crowd and caught hold of his arm.
"It’s time to board the flight."
Her voice was low and sultry. A green silk dress clung to the woman’s ample breasts and curved tight to her hips. She tilted her face and smiled up at the man. Without looking at Lily, she guided him toward the departure gates.
"Sorry to have bothered you," the man said, his voice now more deep and
confident than before. He pulled away from the woman, came back, and pressed a white business card into Lily’s hand.
"If you should need me, do call," he said. "Sometimes people in Trinidad need
help," he added, then rushed away into the crowd with the tall redhead on his arm. The space where the man had stood turned cold and empty. Lily shivered as she read the name, "Kyle Warren," in bold black letters. A local number was listed at the bottom, a telephone number, no other information.
She stared after Kyle Warren and the beautiful woman, watching them disappear
into the crowd of people headed toward the gate. Now Lily felt much lonelier than before. To add to her confusion, she sensed someone she knew had left her. But, of course, that could not be. It was late, and she was tired. Yet something about the tall blond man was familiar… And Lily didn’t quite like the way that redhead latched onto his arm.
She shrugged. She couldn’t be jealous of this stranger’s friend. What was she
thinking?
The trip—a working vacation—to Trinidad was a big step for Lily. She’d chosen
a foreign destination, completely unfamiliar to her, in hopes the sights and sounds of a new place would somehow enhance her photojournalism career.
The brochure advertising the remote Trinidad resort intrigued her. She needed
to get away from the family and friends she didn’t seem to know anymore.
Things were strange for her since the accident…

Yolanda Sfetsos
Today I welcome Yolanda Sfetosos to the blog. Hi Yolanda, please tell us about yourself and your books.
Hi, everyone! Firstly, I’d like to thank Linda for having me here today.
My name’s Yolanda and I live in Australia. I’m a writer, and manage to spend most of my time... writing. Or thinking about writing. Seriously, sometimes I wake up with ideas, and they’re not just from dreams either. I find that going to sleep with a plot/idea problem usually means that I wake up with some sort of solution, which is awesome.
Asides from writing, I like to spend time with my hubby, daughter, and kitty. I also enjoy going for walks, working out, cruising the Net, watching my fave TV shows, reading, and collecting books. But I have to admit that writing consumes most of my time. When ideas strike, I like to pounce on them and write as many notes as I can. It helps turn them from random thoughts to coherent storylines.
While my daughter’s at school and my husband’s at work, I spend most of the day writing away. So I get a chance to squeeze in a lot of stuff. At the moment I’m working on rewrites. To be honest with you, this year has been filled with revision, edits, and rewrites. Revision because I’ve been finishing up a bunch of projects that I started last year, edits because I’ve had several books released this year, and rewrites because I’ve either decided to expand/improve an older/uncontracted story, or because an editor has suggested changes. Either way, it’s been a learning experience, and a way to see just how much my writing has grown.
My latest release is a stand-alone novella called DAMAGED. It was released from Damnation Books at the beginning of this month and is basically a dark story with horror elements, about an aspiring author caught up in a bad marriage, a plumber who offers hope, a helpful priest, a creepy basement, and a demoness hellbent on getting her way. This isn’t a conventional love story, but it does have an underlining romance that takes shape during the most unlikely time and place. I had a great time writing this story and I hope that readers enjoy it.
A few months ago, I also had my first novel release from Eternal Press, called SHADE OF GREY. This one’s a contemporary sci-fi romance story which features aliens, UFOs, abductees, men in black, hybrids, conspiracies, and hidden organizations. I loved sharing this story with readers, and have two more books planned in this world.
As you can probably tell, I write in a variety of genres—ranging from urban fantasy, paranormal romance, sci-fi, futuristic, horror, and have even ventured into YA. My muse doesn’t like genre restrictions, so I pretty much write whatever comes to mind, whenever it comes to mind. I have to admit that not putting restrictions on genre is a lot of fun. Although, there are a few things that you’ll most likely find in all of my stories: something otherworldly, a certain degree of darkness, and a romantic tie or two.
If you’d like to read a little bit more about me, or my books, you can over at my website: www.yolandasfetsos.com I try to keep it as up to date as I can, and offer several free reads as well.
Thank you so much for having me here today!

Jane Beckenham
Coming soon to Red Rose Publishing!
Today we welcome Jane Beckenham to the blog. Jane is a very popular and well loved author of sexy but pleasant books that readers just can't help loving.
Please tell us about yourself and your books Jane.
Hello readers in Blogland. How’s your world? I sure hope it’s not as chaotic as mine.
Thought I would write to you about A Day in the Life Of….Me (now don’t go to sleep on me just yet).
My day started at ¼ to 5 – yes in the morning. Such an obscene hour really. I would so love it if those dratted birds outside my window WOULD NOT WAKE so early. But they tweeted and not the cyber tweet that’s for sure. At least those are QUIET.
So it’s up and getting DH’s lunch before he heads off on the white charger for work…leaving with the birds to beat the freeway traffic. You’d think I would go back to sleep, but oh no, not today, I’ve got a writer’s brain-storming meeting this a.m.,, need to write 2 blogs, an interview to do, a chapter to finish editing…plus write the letter I should have written 3 weeks ago for two agents who said they wanted to see my work after the Romance Writer’s of Australia Conference in Sydney in August.
But first….yes, sadly life interrupts and I find myself attached to the computer paying bills. You see even a writer has to face reality and if this writer doesn’t pay these bills right now, it means my lovely computer that takes me daily to a world of fantasy and happy ever after will go poof, and the power will not reach where it has to reach. Don’t you just wonder how that happens I mean you can’t see electricity per se…has to be one of the wonders of life….
Okay back to my reality.
6 a.m. Bill paying Done
7 a.m. Go for that morning walk Done
– gotta keep the fat at bay. All that sitting at the computer is spreading the rear end. I mean I don’t ask "Does my bum look big in this?” any more. No need. I know.
8 a.m Breakfast (need sustenance to write sex scenes… my heroine is in my head and telling me to hurry, I can’t leave her in this heightened state of awareness much longer. She needs release so hurry up and get that butt back onto the computer chair and finish writing the sex scene.
Sex…and separating whites and coloreds for the laundry somehow don’t go hand in and hand, but in the real world of this writer it is a necessity.
10.30 Laundry Done
Bed made, writer showered, dressed in the only clean clothes I can find, then I look at the vacuuming and think…nope, gotta save the heroine and get that sex thing sorted.
And so my day goes on.
Writing about sex, about my heroine and hero in conflict, and about snow storms when it’s s blazing hot outside (well I can dream, we’ve just been through the wettest winter ever and spring has only just sprung-and before you think this writer is nuts – okay I admit I am a tad, I live in New Zealand and we’re all back to front in the season dept from our cousins up ‘north’) Then its back to writing about a few kisses and a tad more sex….
Then … . “I’m home,” the teen yells as she slams the door on arrival from school. “I’m hungry, what’s there to eat?”
She wants food. How the heck can I think of food now, when my heroine is in the deepest of despair and wondering if the man she loves beyond all will ever realise he can’t live without her… but food comes for the starving child first, my mother’s guilt kicking in big time and I drag myself away from the computer….with one last glance at the screen littered with words of love and anguish as I head to the kitchen only to spy…the dishes.
Ooops, I forgot to do the dishes (yes, I know too intent on getting back to that poor heroine). Oh, and isn’t that the 2nd load of washing in the machine still waiting to be hung on the clothesline.
Slack. Just a slack housewife! Guilt entrenches itself in my conscience.
Teen given sustenance, I race around the house. Dishes done, clean hot spots littering the house, the laundry is finally completed, not quite folded, but at least the family will be clean…
Save me….I need a happy ending! My heroine is storming my brain too. She wants her own ending. Now!
But what do I find myself doing?
Peeling potatoes. Because even for a writer, life has to be lived and I’m sure my heroine will understand, I mean she’s a woman, she knows about multi-tasking and surely she has that same guilt stuff going on and heck, she has to eat too!
I pick up another potato. Maybe I could write a story about a heroine peeling potatoes. Nah, that’s just way to realistic.
Happy whatever makes you happy everyone.
Jane Beckenham
In books Author Jane Beckenham discovered dreams and hope, stories that inspired in her a love of romance and happy ever after. Years later, after a blind date, she found her own true love and married him eleven months later.
Life has been a series of ‘dreams’ for Jane. Dreaming of learning to walk again after spending years in hospital. Dreaming of raising a family and subsequently flying to Russia to bring home her two adopted daughters. And of course, dreaming of writing.
Writing has become Jane’s addiction - and it sure beats housework.
